Osoby z ADHD i/lub ASD odczuwają świat jakby między nim a naszymi mózgami nie było żadnego filtra. Doświadczenia i bodźce płyną niepowstrzymanie przez nasze systemy nerwowe w obie strony. Chłoniemy wiedzę, własne i cudze emocje i wpadamy na najdziwniejsze pomysły, ale bywa to wycieńczające. Kocham kreatywność i ciekawość świata jaka wiąże się z neuroatypowością, jednak często przytłoczenie i fizyczny ból związane z ciągłym przepływem informacji i bodźców sensorycznych sprawia, że nie jestem w stanie realizować swoich planów i pomysłów. Świat znika w statycznym szumie i okazuje się, że pustka jest jeszcze gorsza niż lawina. To frustrujące, obserwować jak cały potencjał idzie na zmarnowanie ze względu na te samą budowę mózgu, która w ogóle go umożliwiła. Mimo to nie zmieniłabym tego, jaka jestem, nawet gdybym mogła.

For people with ADHD and ASD it's like there's no filter between the world and our brains. It all goes in and out with all it's force, just flowing through our senses. We soak knowledge, absorb all emotions and get the wildest, most beautiful ideas, but it gets exhausting most of a time. I truly love the creativity and curiosity that comes with being neuroatypical, yet sometimes the overwhelm and physical pain from constant flow of informations and sensory feelings makes it impossible to bring the ideas to life. The world disappears in a static noise and it shows up that the void is even worse than the avalanche. It's frustrating, to see all that potential go to waste thanks to the same brain structure that allows those possibilities to exist in the first place. But I wouldn't change it, even if I could.
